Sigma telezooms

This post is about the Sigma 70-300mm OS and the 150-500mm OS super telephoto. My first incline was to get a Canon, the 70-300mm L series or the 100-400mm L. I bought the first Sigma because of the price and the decent image quality. Yes it has a few flaws, it's soft here and there, but in real world situations I find it performs well for my purpose.

I ordered the 150-500mm OS because I started doing some wildlife photography and because a friend of mine got stunning shots using this lens. The other reason is that it is much cheaper than any 400 or 500mm in house models and Sigma offers a 7 year warranty. It is not as fast as some of the Canon offerings but I usually shoot in good light anyway so for me it does the trick. Here are the setting I usually go for when I can (1/800 sec, f8, ISO 400). My 60D will let me crank the ISO a few stops if need be and I'll still get good results.

I will post a few pictures soon.
